Jumbo Loans

Not every loan fits every situation. Here’s how I match you to the one that fits yours.

What is it?

A jumbo loan is a mortgage above the conforming loan limit, which the Federal Housing Finance Agency sets each year. Super jumbo loans are larger still. They’re used for higher-priced homes, including waterfront and luxury properties.

Quick facts

For loan amounts above the conforming limit set each year
Not backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac
Stricter documentation and reserve requirements

Who it fits

  • Buyers purchasing higher-priced homes
  • Borrowers with strong income and assets
  • Buyers of waterfront or luxury property around Tampa Bay

Good to know

Because jumbo loans aren’t backed by the same programs as conforming loans, lenders usually review income, assets and credit more closely. Down payment, reserves and documentation requirements vary by lender and loan size, so I’ll lay out what applies to you at the start.

  1. Step 1

We review your reserves and documentation upfront
